Statement of Intent - Religious Education
At St John the Baptist, we aim for all of our children to develop an understanding of the teachings of Jesus and what it means to be a Christian in our world today. We underpin all that we do through our three core Christian values – Respect, Honesty and Resilience. With our children, we also explore the ‘Fruits of the Spirit’ and how these characteristics are important to help our children become moral citizens with integrity and respect for all regardless of backgrounds.
We follow the West Sussex syllabus and explore all other faiths through Discovery RE.
